North Carolina High School Baseball - Hoggard gets by Ashley

Spectators at Tuesday's league battle between the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) and the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC), saw Hoggard's baseball squad knock off Ashley by a count of 4-2.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A battle, on Thursday, March 21. Hoggard will attempt to move on its 9-0 season record. The Buccaneers enter the battle with a 2-5 record after their 6-3 league loss to South Brunswick (Southport, NC).

The Screaming Eagle now possess a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Croatan for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 20. Ashley will play a Cougars squad coming off a 14-5 non-league win over Jacksonville (Jacksonville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.
