El Segundo Eagles (El Segundo, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South Spartans (Torrance, CA), 17-11 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Torrance for a challenge on Friday, March 22. El Segundo will face a Tartars squad coming off a 16-2 league win over Wiseburn- Da Vinci (El Segundo, CA). The Tartars record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, South falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to North (Torrance, CA) to face the Saxons in a challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Saxons enter the challenge with a record of 3-6.
