The Laney Buccaneers lacrosse squad (Wilmington, NC), was overwhelmed 12-8 in Tuesday's league challenge with the host Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC)

Coming up next, the Screaming Eagle meet the South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) in a Mideastern challenge, on Thursday, March 21. Ashley will attempt to improve on its 4-1 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 9-2 league win over New Hanover (Wilmington, NC).

The Buccaneers now sport a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Croatan for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 20. Laney will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 17-3 league win over Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-2.
