Barstow Aztecs (Barstow, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Silverado Hawks (Victorville, CA), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Aztecs now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granite Hills for a Desert Sky challenge on Thursday, March 21. Barstow will face a Cougars squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Academy for Academic Excellence (Apple Valley, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Silverado falls to 2-8 on the campaign. The Hawks host Victor Valley (Victorville, CA) to face the Jackrabbits in a Desert Sky challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Jackrabbits enter the challenge with a record of 2-9. Victor Valley lost 12-10 in their recent league challenge against Adelanto (Adelanto, CA)
