Brazosport Exporters (Freeport, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Iowa Colony Pioneers (Iowa Colony, TX), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Exporters now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Columbia for a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, March 22. Brazosport will face a Roughnecks squad coming off a 18-1 league win over La Marque (La Marque, TX). The Roughnecks record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Iowa Colony falls to 4-16 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Stafford (Stafford, TX) to face the Spartans in a 4A Region IV District 26 challenge on Friday, March 22. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Stafford lost 20-0 in their recent league challenge against Brazosport (Freeport, TX)
