Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host North Central Knights (Kershaw, SC), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Central for a AA Region 5 challenge on Wednesday, March 20. Buford will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 15-10 non-league win over Lamar (Lamar, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, North Central falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Cheraw (Cheraw, SC) to battle the Braves in a AA Region 5 challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Cheraw won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lamar (Lamar, SC)
