The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX) and the visiting Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX), saw Joshua's softball squad nip Burleson by a count of 5-1.

The Owls now sport a 17-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Centennial for a 5A Region I District 8 match on Friday, March 22. Joshua will face a Spartans squad coming off a 17-1 league win over Cleburne (Cleburne, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Burleson falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Elks host Midlothian (Midlothian, TX) to face the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 8 match on Saturday, March 23. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 15-8. Midlothian won 6-4 in their recent league match against Joshua (Joshua, TX)
