Port Aransas Marlins (Port Aransas, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Marlins now own a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Yorktown for a 2A Region IV District 31 challenge on Friday, March 22. Port Aransas will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-6 league loss to Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-11.

With the loss, Kenedy drops to 3-7 on the year. The Lions travel to Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 2A Region IV District 31 game on Friday, March 22. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 20-3. Three Rivers won 19-4 in their recent league game against Refugio (Refugio, TX)
