North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wallace-Rose Hill Bulldogs (Teachey, NC), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host South Lenoir for a East Central 2A challenge on Thursday, March 21. North Lenoir will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 8-4 non-league win over Midway (Dunn, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Wallace-Rose Hill falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Clinton (Clinton, NC) to face the Dark Horses in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Dark Horses enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Clinton lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (Rose Hill, NC)
