Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northlake Christian Wolverines (Covington, LA), 12-7 in a league challenge.

The Jaguars now own a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they host Independence for a 2A District 7 challenge on Wednesday, March 20. Pope John Paul II will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Northlake Christian falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Wolverines host French Settlement (French Settlement, LA) to battle the Lions in a 2A District 7 challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. French Settlement won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA)
