West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA), 12-6 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Alexandria City for a Patriot challenge on Thursday, March 21. West Potomac will face a Titans squad coming off a 9-2 league loss to Robinson (Fairfax, VA). The Titans record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Woodson falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Lake Braddock (Burke, VA) to face the Bruins in a Patriot challenge on Thursday, March 21. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Lake Braddock won 11-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA)
