North Carolina High School Baseball - Anson holds off Chesterfield

The Anson Bearcats baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Chesterfield Golden Rams to 3 in the Bearcats non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bearcats now own a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Stanly for a Rocky River 2A/3A test on Friday, March 21. Anson will clash with a Colts team coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC). The Colts record now stands at 5-4.

With the defeat, Chesterfield drops to 4-3 on the year. The Golden rams travel to Buford (Lancaster, SC) to clash with the Yellow Jackets in a non-league test on Friday, March 21. The Yellow Jackets go into the test with a record of 5-1. Buford won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC)
