Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Cape Fear Colts (Fayetteville, NC), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Pinecrest moves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Hoke County (Raeford, NC) to meet the Bucks in a Sandhills 3A/4A test on Friday, March 21. The Bucks come into the test with a record of 3-7. Hoke County lost 9-0 in their recent league test against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)

The Colts now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Douglas Byrd for a United Eight 3A/4A test on Thursday, March 20. Cape Fear will meet a Eagles team coming off a 13-0 league loss to Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.
