The Model Blue Devils baseball team scored 10 runs and held the host Sonoraville Phoenix to 8 in the Blue Devils non-league win on Wednesday.

The Blue Devils now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodland for a non-league test on Thursday, March 20. Model will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 3-3 non-league Pickens (Jasper, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, Sonoraville drops to 8-4 on the year. The Phoenix host Fannin County (Blue Ridge, GA) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league test on Saturday, March 22. The Rebels go into the test with a record of 8-4. Fannin County lost 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Cartersville (Cartersville, GA)
