The Betsy Layne Bobcats softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting East Ridge Warriors to 2 in the Bobcats non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bobcats now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Phelps for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 20. Betsy Layne will confront a Hornets team coming off a 15-0 league loss to Belfry (Belfry, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, East Ridge moves to 0-2 on the season. The Warriors host Pikeville (Pikeville, KY) to confront the Panthers in a District 59 battle on Thursday, March 20. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 1-1. Pikeville lost 7-0 in their recent non-league battle against Pike County Central (Pikeville, KY)
