Next, the Bears meet the Austin Panthers (El Paso, TX) in a 4A Region I District 1 challenge, on Friday, March 21. Bowie will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 7-10 record after their 24-3 league loss to Ysleta (El Paso, TX).

The Rockets (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy (El Paso, TX). The Warriors enter the 4A Region I District 1 challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy overcame Austin (El Paso, TX), 18-3, in a non-league challenge.
