The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Garces Memorial Rams (Bakersfield, CA) and the visiting Shafter Generals (Shafter, CA), observed Garces Memorial's softball team get by Shafter by a tally of 7-1.

The Rams (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA). The Spartans go into the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Orcutt Academy tipped Atascadero (Atascadero, CA), 8-2, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Generals clash with the Chavez Titans (Delano, CA) in a South Sequoia bout, on Thursday, March 20. Shafter will attempt to advance on its 8-4 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 5-4 league loss to Shafter (Shafter, CA).
