North Carolina High School Softball - Garinger edges Monroe

In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Garinger Wildcats softball team scored a tight 19-17 win over the Monroe Redhawks.
The Wildcats (3-5) will now prepare for their match against Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC). The Greenwave come into the non-league match with a 1-8 record. In their last match, Ashbrook by Crest (Shelby, NC), 15-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Redhawks battle the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a Rocky River 2A/3A match, on Thursday, March 20. Monroe will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the match with a 0-10 record after their 18-2 league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC).
