Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West End Patriots (Walnut Grove, AL), 7-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Southside improves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Panthers travel to St. Clair County (Odenville, AL) to play the Fighting Saints in a non-league game on Monday, March 31. The Fighting Saints enter the game with a record of 15-9.

The Patriots now hold a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Susan Moore for a 2A Area 12 game on Thursday, March 20. West End will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Westbrook Christian (Rainbow City, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-7.
