The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Blount Leopards (Eight Mile, AL) and the host Murphy Panthers (Mobile, AL), saw Blount's baseball team gain a win over Murphy by a tally of 17-1.

The Leopards (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, AL). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 9-8 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Grove beat Tarrant (Birmingham, AL), 15-0, in a non-league contest.

The Panthers now possess a 2-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pleasant Grove for a non-league contest on Monday, March 23. Murphy will face a Spartans team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Tarrant (Birmingham, AL). The Spartans record now stands at 9-8.
