The Hoover Buccaneers softball team scored 3 runs and limited the visiting Helena Huskies to 1 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Hoover moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Buccaneers host Austin (Decatur, AL) to encounter the Black Bears in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 9. The Black Bears enter the test with a record of 1-1. Austin won 16-9 in their recent non-league test against Bob Jones (Madison, AL)
The Huskies (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Tuscaloosa County tipped Springville (Springville, AL), 4-3, in a non-league test.
