The Bogue Chitto Bobcats baseball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Wesson Cobras to 7 in the Bobcats non-league victory on Thursday.
The Bobcats (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS). The Hornets go into the 2A Region 7 match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Loyd Star gained a win over Natchez (Natchez, MS), 10-1, in a non-league match.
The Cobras (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Crystal Springs was overwhelmed by West Lincoln (Brookhaven, MS), 11-1, in a non-league match.
