Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Pender Patriots (Burgaw, NC) and the host Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC), saw Pender's baseball squad knock off Union by a count of 15-9.

Coming up next, the Patriots play the Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 14. Pender will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record.
