California High School Baseball - Rancho Verde nips Orange Vista

Rancho Verde Mustangs (Moreno Valley, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Orange Vista Coyotes (Perris, CA), 7-6 in a league outing.

The Mustangs now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Poly for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 4. Rancho Verde will battle a Bears squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Heritage (Menifee, CA). The Bears record now stands at 2-3.

With the defeat, Orange Vista falls to 2-1 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Moreno Valley (Moreno Valley, CA) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Moreno Valley won 13-3 in their recent non-league outing against Serrano (Phelan, CA)
