In Saturday's non-league contest, the McGregor Bulldogs (McGregor, TX) softball team held off the host Hubbard Jaguars (Hubbard, TX), by a margin of 4-3.

With the triumph, McGregor moves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX) to play the Bumblebees in a 3A Region III District 19 contest on Tuesday, March 5. The Bumblebees come into the contest with a record of 11-6. Little River Academy won 10-2 in their recent non-league contest against Thorndale (Thorndale, TX)

In their next game, the Jaguars play the Avalon Eagles (Avalon, TX) in a 2A Region II District 14 contest, on Tuesday, March 5. Hubbard will attempt to move on its 8-5 season record.
