Humble Wildcats (Humble, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host MacArthur Generals (Houston, TX), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 4-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summer Creek for a 6A Region III District 21 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Humble will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Bridgeland (Cypress, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, MacArthur falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Spring (Spring, TX) to battle the Lions in a 6A Region II District 14 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 7-7. Spring won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Aldine (Houston, TX)
