Kailua Surfriders (Kailua, HI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kalaheo Mustangs (Kailua, HI), 15-10 in a league challenge.

The Surfriders now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Waipahu for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Kailua will battle a Marauders squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to 'Aiea ('Aiea, HI). The Marauders record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Kalaheo falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Farrington (Honolulu, HI) to battle the Governors in a Oahu I - East challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Governors enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
