Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Green Wave now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Kaplan for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. Ponchatoula will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over St. Charles Catholic (LaPlace, LA). The Pirates record now stands at 9-2.

With the loss, Natchitoches Central falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to battle the Golden Tors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 2. The Golden Tors enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. Sulphur lost 12-11 in their recent league challenge against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA)
