The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the North Jackson Chiefs (Stevenson, AL) and the host St. John Paul II Falcons (Huntsville, AL), saw North Jackson's softball squad nip St. John Paul II by a count of 6-1.

The Chiefs now sport a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Kate Duncan Smith DAR for a 4A Area 14 match on Monday, March 4. North Jackson will face a Patriots squad coming off a 13-4 non-league loss to Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL). The Patriots record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, St. John Paul II falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Westminster Christian Academy (Huntsville, AL) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Area 15 match on Tuesday, March 5. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 2-4. Westminster Christian Academy lost 9-1 in their recent league match against West Limestone (Lester, AL)
