Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Northshore Panthers (Slidell, LA), 9-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Loreauville for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Opelousas Catholic will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 14-1 non-league win over Vinton (Vinton, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 13-1.

With the loss, Northshore falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Doyle (Livingston, LA) to battle the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 6-4.
