In Monday's non-league game, the host Field Kindley Golden Tornado baseball team scored a tight 8-5 victory over the Baxter Springs Lions.
The Golden Tornado (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Labette County (Altamont, KS). The Grizzlies go into the non-league game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Labette County by Girard (Girard, KS), 14-3, in a non-league game.
The Lions (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Ketchum (Ketchum, OK). The Warriors go into the non-league game with a 6-4 record.
