In Monday's non-league game, the host Musselman Applemen baseball team scored a tight 7-2 victory over the James Wood Colonels.
The Applemen (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Washington (Charles Town, WV). The Patriots go into the Eastern Panhandle game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Washington tipped Hampshire (Romney, WV), 22-3, in a non-league game.
The Colonels (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Fauquier (Warrenton, VA). The Falcons go into the Northwestern game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Fauquier was overwhelmed by Sherando (Stephens City, VA), 5-3, in a league game.
