In Monday's league battle, the visiting Union Academy Cardinals soccer squad scored a close 7-0 win over the Gray Stone Day Knights.
The Cardinals (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, South Stanly nipped North Stanly (New London, NC), 8-1, in a league battle.
The Knights (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Robinson (Concord, NC). The Bulldogs go into the Yadkin Valley 1A/2A battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Robinson was overwhelmed by A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
