Boaz Pirates (Boaz, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ohatchee Indians (Ohatchee, AL), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 21-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southside for a 6A Area 13 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Boaz will face a Panthers squad coming off a 6-1 non-league win over Etowah (Attalla, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Ohatchee falls to 12-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Glencoe (Glencoe, AL) to face the Yellowjackets in a 3A Area 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Glencoe won 12-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Cherokee County (Centre, AL)
