The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Mount Juliet Golden Bears (Mt. Juliet, TN) and the visiting Independence Eagles (Thompson's Station, TN), saw Mount Juliet's softball squad nip Independence by a count of 5-4.

The Golden Bears now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lebanon for a 4A District 9 match on Tuesday, March 21. Mount Juliet will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 17-13 non-league win over Gallatin (Gallatin, TN). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Independence falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Harpeth Hall (Nashville, TN) to face the Honeybears in a non-league match on Wednesday, March 22. The Honeybears enter the match with a record of 0-0.
