In Monday's non-league contest, the Jackson County Blue Devils (Gainesboro, TN) softball team overwhelmed the host Pickett County Bobcats (Byrdstown, TN), by a margin of 15-3.
With the triumph, Jackson County moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Monterey (Monterey, TN) to play the Wildcats in a 2A District 5 contest on Tuesday, March 21. The Wildcats come into the contest with a record of 0-1.
In their next game, the Bobcats play the Clay County Bulldogs (Celina, TN) in a 1A District 7 contest, on Thursday, March 23. Pickett County will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 10-0 league loss to Gordonsville (Gordonsville, TN).
