Northside - Pinetown Panthers (Pinetown, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South Central Falcons (Winterville, NC), 12-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lejeune for a Coastal Plains 1A/2A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. Northside - Pinetown will battle a Devil Pups squad coming off a 23-1 non-league loss to North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Devil Pups record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, South Central falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Havelock (Havelock, NC) to battle the Rams in a Big East 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Rams enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Havelock won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Dixon (Holly Ridge, NC)
