Sheridan Spartans (Sheridan, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waldport for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 24. Sheridan will face a Irish squad coming off a 21-0 non-league loss to Taft (Lincoln City, OR). The Irish record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Rainier falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Columbians travel to Vernonia (Vernonia, OR) to face the Loggers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 23. The Loggers enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
