California High School Softball - Arleta holds off Poly

March 20, 2024: Sun Valley, CA 91352

Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA), 8-6 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Venice for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 23. Arleta will battle a Gondoliers squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Los Angeles CES (Los Angeles, CA). The Gondoliers record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Poly falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Parrots host Grant (Van Nuys, CA) to battle the Lancers in a East Valley challenge on Friday, March 22. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Grant lost 14-12 in their recent league challenge against Monroe (North Hills, CA)
