Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host West Johnston Wildcats (Benson, NC), 13-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Garner for a Greater Neuse River 4A game on Thursday, March 21. Corinth Holders will clash with a Titans team coming off a 16-0 league loss to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Titans record now stands at 5-4.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC) in a Quad County 3A game, on Thursday, March 21. West Johnston will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Spartans come into the game with a 1-6 record after their 16-10 non-league win over Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC).
