Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Denton Broncos (Denton, TX), 14-5 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Argyle for a 5A Region I District 7 challenge on Friday, March 22. Grapevine will face a Eagles squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Ryan (Denton, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 9-14.

With the loss, Denton falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Broncos host Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX) to face the Falcons in a 5A Region I District 7 challenge on Saturday, March 23. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Lake Dallas won 7-6 in their recent league challenge against Richland (North Richland Hills, TX)
