In Wednesday's league contest, the host Pope John Paul II Jaguars softball team scored a nice 17-0 triumph over the Independence Tigers.
With the triumph, Pope John Paul II moves its record to 9-8 on the year. The Jaguars host Independence (Independence, LA) to play the Tigers in a 2A District 7 contest on Thursday, March 21. The Tigers come into the contest with a record of 2-8.
In their next game, the Tigers play the Capitol Lions (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, March 20. Independence will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record.
