Shady Spring Tigers (Shady Spring, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Liberty Raiders (Glen Daniel, WV), 8-0 in a league challenge.
The Tigers now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Nicholas County for a Coalfield A challenge on Thursday, March 21. Shady Spring will battle a Grizzlies squad coming off a 9-8 non-league win over Oak Hill (Oak Hill, WV). The Grizzlies record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Liberty falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Cross Lanes Christian (Charleston, WV) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 22. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Cross Lanes Christian lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lawrence County (Louisa, KY)
