The Yazoo County Panthers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Humphreys Academy Rebels to 4 in the Panthers non-league win on Thursday.
The Panthers now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Winona for a 3A Region 3 test on Friday, March 21. Yazoo County will play a Tigers team coming off a 13-10 non-league loss to Columbus (Columbus, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 5-7.
With the defeat, Humphreys Academy drops to 0-5 on the year. The Rebels travel to Washington (Greenville, MS) to play the Generals in a non-league test on Monday, March 24. The Generals go into the test with a record of 13-4. Washington lost 6-5 in their recent non-league test against Bayou Academy (Cleveland, MS)
