The Irmo Yellow Jackets (Columbia, SC) baseball got by the visiting Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC), 3-2 in Thursday's league challenge.
The Yellow Jackets now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they host River Bluff for a 5A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, March 25.
With the defeat, Lexington drops to 4-4 on the year. The Wildcats host Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 22. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Charlotte Christian won 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Lucy Beckham (Mt. Pleasant, SC)
