In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Mission San Jose Warriors volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Newark Memorial Cougars.

The Warriors (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against James Logan (Union City, CA). The Colts come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, James Logan edged American (Fremont, CA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Moreau Catholic Mariners (Hayward, CA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, March 25. Newark Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Mariners come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 2-0 league win over Washington (Fremont, CA).
