Jefferson Bears (Monroe, MI) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Melvindale Cardinals (Melvindale, MI), 5-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Jefferson moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Onsted (Onsted, MI) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league test on Monday, March 31. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Cardinals now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summit Academy North for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2.
