Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Loris Lions (Loris, SC) and the visiting Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC), saw Loris's soccer squad prevail over Marlboro County by a count of 5-1.

The Lions (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Aynor (Aynor, SC). The Blue Jackets enter the AAA Region 5 battle with a 3-3 record.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC) in a AAA Region 5 battle, on Tuesday, March 25. Marlboro County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Warriors enter the battle with a 4-6 record after their 4-0 non-league loss to Bishop England (Charleston, SC).
