The Hazel Green Trojans softball team scored 27 runs and held the host Columbia Eagles to 5 in the Trojans league win on Thursday.

The Trojans now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mae Jemison for a 6A Area 16 battle on Thursday, March 27. Hazel Green will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 16-10 non-league win over Decatur (Decatur, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Columbia moves to 2-3 on the season. The Eagles host Woodville (Woodville, AL) to confront the Panthers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 25. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 0-7. Woodville lost 17-0 in their recent league battle against Valley Head (Valley Head, AL)
