The Panthers enter the contest with a record of 14-3. Lufkin won 20-0 in their recent league challenge against Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX)

The Fightin' Indians (4-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Texas (Texarkana, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Texas toppled Marshall (Marshall, TX), 9-8, in a league challenge.
